A chronicle of the groundbreaking Los Angeles band The Runaways, who formed in 1975 and were led by teenagers Joan Jett (Stewart) and Cherie Currie (Fanning).
Though this biopic's focus is on the friendship between Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, in real life, Jett formed the band with drummer Sandy West; Currie was an eventual add-on a year or so after the group's formation. But who needs reality when you have two of the Twilight gals in a side project. Squee!! More on this one after its Sundance debut.
