Gold Stone Technologies Limited, which has colourised the evergreen classic Mayabaar, which has been released by Super Good Films recently, is keen on digitalising at least 11 all-time classics in the coming months. Its Creative Head, C Jagan Mohan has made an announcement saying that their company was intending to digitalise at least eight Telugu classics. These are: Missamma, Gundamma Katha, Appu Chesi Pappu Koodu, Shaavukaru, Uma Chandi Gaurishankarula Katha, Sathya Harishchandra, CID and Pelli Chesi Choodu.
Also, Dev Anand's Hum Dono and one or two Tamil and Kannanda classics will be digitalised by Gold Stone. This comes as a good news to film students and old cine goers.
The company has been reportedly encouraged by the response to their debut and latest offering Mayabaazar. As a result, with the expertise they have at their disposal, they have decided to colourise more and more films in the future.
Seems that the market for classics is evergreen, when they come with some colour. Not only do they seem up-to-the-minute, but also get good satellite rights prices.
